Csobánc HILL
Csobánc is one of the highlights of the region. Similar to the other hills in the area, it is of volcanic origin. These hills are called “Witness Hills”. The expression originates from the fact that these hills “witnessed” the decrease of the land surface level during volcanic activity millions of years ago. They preserve the original surface since the Pliocene period.
The Lake Cave
The around 3000-metre-long lake cave system, this unique attraction, is situated in the heart of the town. It was opened to the public in 1912 after ten years of its discovery. Small boats can be hired to explore the cave system. Merely 15–20 m below the town a 5 km long cave system criss-crosses the Miocene limestone layers.

Liliomkert Piac in Káptalantóti was founded by Ildikó Harmathy on her own plough field 4 years ago, and it has grown to be the most famous character of the farmgate-artisan market scene. It kicked off the market-fever around Balaton, as the earliest bird among the farmers' market.
